Energy Medicine is a holistic method in which energy is channeled through the practitioner's hands with the intention of clearing blockages and restoring the proper flow of the bodies natural energetic system. This often results in improved health and reduction or elimination of symptoms. The energy referred here is electromagnetic, the same force that every atom and cell in the body inherently possesses. This has gone by different names in different cultures, such as prana, qi, subtle energy, life force and vital energy.

Energetic blockages may disrupt the flow and function of the vital meridian system, impacting the regulation of cells and biomolecules which can then cause a domino effect of disorder in the tissues, organs and bodily systems. Symptoms are the signals from the body that an imbalance has occurred, which can then lead to pain, discomfort, inflammation and dis-ease.

During an Energy Healing session, the practitioner can locate these blockages by assessing various acupressure points, remove them, and infuse the area with healing energy to restore proper electromagnetic flow. This in turn enhances the flow of blood, oxygen and nutrients to the cells, tissues and body. Symptoms are often reduced and even eliminated and healing can be made possible.
